BMX started through a friend - one of the first people who really opened a door into this scene for me. Because of him, I had the chance to photograph him and his crew riding in the park near Hütteldorf. What began as a few sessions quickly became about more than just the sport.

I was welcomed into the group, not just as someone with a camera but as someone who genuinely wanted to be part of what was happening. These were real moments: friends pushing each other, quick conversations between tricks, laughs after a landed line, and the raw energy that only comes from people who know each other well.

This project isn’t just about BMX riding. It’s about the people, the atmosphere, and the sense of community that comes with it. Being there behind the lens, I discovered a scene where passion, skill, and friendship collide - and I want to keep coming back. For me, this is not a one-off shoot, but the beginning of a long-term project and a real chance to get to know this world from the inside.
