Between Tradition and Everyday Life
Macedonia is a personal documentary project created during my time in North Macedonia. The work brings together a series of photographs taken at an Orthodox church wedding, a church baptism, and a wedding celebration in Gostivar moments deeply rooted in tradition, faith, and community.
Alongside these events, the project also includes impressions of place: everyday scenes and quiet observations from Gostivar, as well as images from Ohrid and the surroundings of Lake Ohrid. Together, these photographs form a personal visual narrative of people, tradition, and locations that define the atmosphere of the region.
Rather than focusing on spectacle, this work is about presence and observation. It captures emotions, gestures, and moments as they unfold naturally — offering an honest and intimate look into daily life.
