This opportunity was a spontaneous and really fun experience — all thanks to a good friend and colleague of mine, Asmir, who works as a motorsport photographer on the side.

What started as a casual joke turned into reality when I randomly applied for accreditation through him — fully convinced it wouldn’t go through. But somehow, with a bit of luck (and maybe some naivety), I got the exception. And just like that, I found myself at a rally race in Austria, shooting alongside Asmir as an official photographer.

The mix of a seasoned motorsport pro and a film shooter focused on street and documentary work made the whole day feel refreshingly different. It was fast, loud, chaotic — and completely outside my usual world.

As someone totally new to racing, it was definitely an experience. I think bringing in a slightly different visual style, even on the sidelines, added something unexpected to it all. Big shoutout to Asmir — this wouldn’t have happened without him.
